Questions
What is DUSK Handoff?
A tool for web agencies that collects content from a client through a secure link, lets your team review and approve it field by field, and turns the approved version into a structured package: Markdown and JSON content, the client's files and a manifest. Developers and coding agents build from that package instead of from email threads and shared folders.
Who is it for?
Small web agencies and studios that build marketing websites for clients, freelance developers, and technical project managers. It suits brochure, portfolio, local-business and multi-location service sites, including projects built with Astro or Next.js or with a coding agent.
Does it replace a CMS?
No. DUSK Handoff covers the step between client approval and development. The package goes into your own build and your own CMS, if you use one. It does not host, edit or publish a website.
Does it build websites automatically?
No. It hands your developers approved, structured content. If you connect GitHub, a new repository can start from a small Astro starter that already reads the package, and later versions arrive as pull requests for you to review. It never merges, deploys or publishes anything.
Does it replace Content Snare or a project management tool?
It overlaps with content collection tools on gathering client content, but its focus is what happens after approval: versioned snapshots and a build-ready package. It is not a project management tool and doesn't track tasks, time or invoices.
What does the export contain?
A ZIP with a manifest (version, approval details, completeness, warnings and a checksum for every file), one Markdown file per page, the same content as JSON, an asset manifest with filenames, sizes, dimensions, alt text and checksums, the files themselves and a README. Only approved content is included. If something required isn't approved yet, the package says so.
Can clients use it without an account?
Yes. Clients open a secure link that expires and can be revoked. You can also ask them to confirm their email with a one-time code. Their progress saves as they go.
Can coding agents use the export?
Yes. The JSON follows a documented, versioned schema with stable file paths, approval metadata and explicit warnings, so an agent can work from it without reading DUSK Handoff's code. Treat the content as client-supplied data, not as instructions.
Is client content used to train AI models?
No. DUSK Handoff has no AI features and doesn't send client content to AI providers.
How is client data protected?
Each agency's data is isolated in the application and in the database. Files are stored privately and served only through access checks. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the database is hosted in London. Client links expire and can be revoked, approvals and downloads are recorded in an audit log, and owners can export or delete their organisation's data.
How much does it cost, and can I cancel?
There's a 14-day free trial with no card. The paid plan is £99 a month, billed monthly, with no usage charges and no VAT added. Cancel any time from Billing; the plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, and your data stays.
